Description: a perennial gray-green herbaceous plant with short, thick rhizome and 50 cm long whitish roots. Stem upright, cylindrical, hollow, up to 2 m high. Leaves consistent, slightly cut, top ends. Colors from white to pale pink, and more rarely red. Blooms July - August.

Chemical composition: 30-35% mucus consisting of galacturonic and glucuronic acid, glucose, pentose; Asparagine, betaine, phytosterol, sucrose, fat, starch.

Application:

Internal: for respiratory tract disease (angina, bronchitis, catara, cough, shortness of breath) to facilitate sputum extraction, gastrointestinal inflammation.

Externally: for laryngitis, pharyngitis; Wounds, boils, etc. Skin diseases.

Preparation: 1 tablespoon of the herb is soaked in 1/2 liter of cold water for 1 hour, strained and sweetened (dose for one day).

Use:

internally: 2 hours per 1 tablespoon.

Outside: in the form of compresses and gargle.
